The DCI boss George Kinoti has been warned of dire consequences if anything happens to DP William Ruto as the Echesa saga now believed to have been plotted to trap Ruto backfires to haunt the embattled detective.
Calls for his resignation over alleged biased and politicization of the criminal investigation department has been high. Some have urged him to resign and join politics and it remains to be seen whether he will sustain the presssure.
Sources indicate the DCI boss was yesterday holed up in a meeting in the face of damaging reputation that has hit his office.
Elsewhere, Jubilee MPs led by Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen have called for enhanced security detail for the deputy president warning of dire consequences if he is assassinated.
DCI boss George Kinoti has been on the spotlight for being used by top Mt. Kenya billionaires to assassinate Ruto as 2022 succession politics intensifies.
The role of Kinoti in the assassination scheme was revealed by Ruto himself who placed the DCI boss at the center of the nefarious scheme.
Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has also placed the responsibility of protecting William Ruto at the hands of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Ruto’s supporters too have not been left behind in warning the schemers of Ruto that there will be no country to rule if Ruto is assassinated.
The race for 2022 has already gotten murkier with 2 years into the election, and if nothing is done urgently, things will spill out of control.
If the threats by Ruto’s supporters are anything to go by, those plotting to stop William Ruto from succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta will have to rethink of a better strategy to stop him since assassination will not be a good option.
It seems William Ruto has endeared himself to the people and that he is revered by many is not in doubt and assassinating him will be a threat to national security.
