The dreaded Corona Virus that has gripped the coastal strip continues to wreck havoc and cause untold fear among the residents.

The latest victim of the highly contagious disease is Rabai MP William Kamoti who has tested positive for Corona Virus.

This was announced by Premier Hospital, Nyali in Mombasa.

Kamoti had been admitted at Premier Hospital after experiencing difficulty in breathing.

In announcing the confirmed case at the facility, the management urged the staff to be calm and resilient in the fight against the virus.

The management also said the entire facility will be fumigated at the soonest time possible.

Kamoti was one of those who interacted severally with Kilifi deputy governor Gideon Saburi who has since tested positive for Covid-19.

Kilifi has been mapped as one of the red zones with the high chances of contracting the disease and now many residents are feared to have contracted the dreaded virus after Saburi refused to self-isolate and went about his business around the county oblivious of the danger he was exposing the residents to.

Currently, over 100 staff of Kilifi county, including the governor, Amason Kingi are in self isolation for a period of 14 days.

Kenya has so far recorded 31 cases of corona virus.

The government has put in raft of measures meant to contain the virus among them austerity measures meant to cushion Kenyans from the adverse economic effects brought about by low business.

The President also announced a dusk to dawn curfew from 27, March, 2020.

Yesterday, one patient died at Aga Khan Hospital while one patient has since recovered.
