The Orange Democratic Movement, ODM party has said it will bar Murkomen, Kuria and other TangaTanga MPs from attending Nakuru BBI rally.
Homa Bay Women representative Gladys Wanga revealed the party’s intention to bar Murkomen and Kuria from setting foot into the Nakuru BBI rally.
ODM party’s move may to bar the duo may not be successful since Nakuru is a Jubilee stronghold and any attempt to bar them may cause a retaliation from their supporters.
Wanga also accused DP Ruto of sending the TangaTanga legislators to interrupt the rallies as witnessed in Meru.
The Homa Bay women rep said DP Ruto has consistently defied his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta and should resign since he has no moral authority to continue holding the office of the deputy president.
“William Ruto has continuously defied his boss and shows him utmost disrespect by going against his position on national issues”, said Gladys Wanga.
Wanga blamed Ruto for the disruption at Meru BBI rally saying his lieutenants, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Moses Kuria had been sent by Ruto to steal the limelight in BBI rallies and paint the country as anti-BBI “.
Murkomen and Kuria casued a stir during Saturday’s BBI rally in Meru when they walked out and thousands of supporters followed suit.
The woman rep accused the duo of paying supporters to walk out of the Meru rally in a bid to show they have numbers. She blasted the act as childish.
“Murkomen and Kuria walked out of a stadium with a rented crowd of 300 people whom they paid sh 500. But out of the 30,000 people who were at the Kinoru stadium, only 300 walked out”, she said.
“The BBI train has left the station and is unstoppable, We will not allow Murkomen and Kuria again into the BBI rallies. If you oppose the BBI, please don’t come to the rallies”, she added.
