Youth in Uasin Gishu have this morning set ablaze the Standard Newspapers over claims it transmits Coronavirus.
The allegations comes days after 2 cases were confirmed in Uasin Gishu with one reported to have contracted it after buying the standard newspaper owned by Moi family.
The company has also experienced dip in sales recently forcing it to sent some employees on compulsory leave. The remaining have seen their salary reduced by 50 per cent.
The burning of the Standard newspaper might also be linked to concerted efforts by the paper to paint DP Ruto in bad light
Today the paper carried the caption “Big Office with No Power
DP is highly revered in the region.
The youth have warned that they will confiscate Newspapers from vendors if the Standard continues with their vendetta against Rut
