The war on corruption is political, DPP is protecting Matiangi over Ruaka Scandal – Aden Duale

Majority leader Aden Duale has said the war on corruption will not be won if DPP continues with selective prosecution. Citing the case of Ruaraka, Duale said DPP can only win public trust if Interior CS Fred Matiangi is charged over his involvement in the Ruaka Land Scandal where government bought its own land at a cost of Sh. 1.4 billion. DPP is yet to act on the file despite court ruling that the land actually belonged to government. A section of Jubilee MPs have accused the DPP of biased and selective purge on graft.
The Garrissa town legislator also hinted that he will not be defending his seat having served at the highest echelons of parliamentary leadership as Majority leader.
