ODM party has decried lack of serious on BBi on the part of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his men.
ODM National Assembly Minority leader Mbadi said the composition of Justice and Legal Affairs Committee (JLAC) membership by Jubilee was a sheer indication that the party was nolonger interested in the BBI process.
Mbadi’s outburst and attack on President Uhuru Kenyatta has grown into a full blown fallout that has threatened to end the cooperation between the two parties.
According to Mbadi, ODM is not comfortable with JLAC members fronted by the ruling party.
ODM sees JLAC as crucial in the passage of the BBi report yet majority of the Jubilee members are from the Tangatanga wing.
“The two committees are very crucial for the passage of the BBI report in Parliament yet it’s dominated by Tangatanga members who are opposed to the BBi and handshake. Of the 19 JLAC members, 9 are TangaTanga out of the 12 Jubilee members and we are afraid they are going to use their numbers to frustrate the report at the committee level.
But National Assembly Majority Leader Amos Kimunya had dismissed Mbadi saying ODM cannot consult on Jubilee members.
The BBI task force last week announced it had completed its report and was awaiting the availability of President Uhuru Kenyatta to present it.
